AN exact positioning using laser lines, crosses or points or by using a
laser projection of complete outlines is an essential tool in the
high-tech forest industry.
Timber optimisation with laser guidance
The laser light helps to position material in a way that it can be
processed and used in an optimal way. This means no wrong positioning –
and a big increase in the quality of product output.
Z-Laser is a world-wide leading manufacturer of diode lasers for
marking and indicating the position of cuts, drill holes and for the
positioning of work pieces. The German company has introduced for the
first time a completely new generation of compact green lasers. Green
light, like red light, is very visible to the eye. Green light is
exceptionally visible where long lines have to be projected.
The new model ZRG – the "Green Runner” – is about 15 m long with an
intensively green beaming line of the Z20RG standard product (20 mW).
The wide range input (85-265 VAC) allows a world-wide usage without any problems.
Instable electrical conditions were in the past the main reason for the
breakdown of green lasers making them less dependable. Now Z-laser has
developed the completely new, extremely resistant power supply “heavy
duty” system (class 4 according to EN 61000) that makes the model ZRG
very insensitive to rough electrical conditions.
At the same time, the lasers have become more compact and smaller
(diameter 40 mm, length 332 mm) so that they can also be used in
confined space areas.
Z-Laser offers different mountings that guarantee a simple and exact adjustment of the laser.
