Automobile Industry & Industrial Applications

Levelling, aligning, measuring: Being able to carry out these tasks quickly and accurately results in successful and cost-efficient performance, whether in aviation, shipbuilding, and railcar construction, or in the manufacture and setup of machinery of any kind.

When it comes to the application of our laser systems, there are hardly any limits to your creativity. The basic principle, however, remains the same across most uses: Depending on your individual requirement, our electronically self-levelling lasers create a precise rotating laser plane, either horizontally or vertically, that serves as a plane of reference in a given space.

In doing so, our precison lasers achieve outstanding accuracy, with deviations from the true horizontal line measuring less than 2,5 mm/100 m.

The structure in need of measuring and alignment is then scanned with suitable mechanical adapters, while its position relative to the reference plane is determined via a precision laser receiver. For this task, in our reference class, we offer highly precise laser receivers with a resolution of up to 1/100 mm. These receivers also feature a zero offset, internal storage of measurement data, as well as data transmission to a PC via radio signal.

If you want to define a vertical laser plane via two points, the laser is set up above one point, while a so called locking receiver is mounted above the other. The receiver then guides the laser via radio signal onto its central position. This way a vertical laser plane is created, passing exactly through both points. With the help of this procedure, structures can not only be aligned exactly vertically to a target axis, but the point-by-point scanning also enables determining the flatness of the plane to be measured.

If required by the application, several of our lasers also feature a plumb beam, exiting at a precise right angle relative to the laser plane. Via a special locking receiver for the plumb beam, the laser can be remote-conrolled over both axes and thereby be guided onto its center and fixed in place. This function allows use on swaying platforms such as ships and other environments of this kind. While in these applications the levelling function of the permenantly self-levelling laser proves counterproductive, with the help of the locking receiver a laser plane can be defined that maintains a fixed position relative to a given space.

For special applications, we also offer lasers whose rotating vertical or horizontal laser plane can be tilted over both axes in a defined way.

If you are faced with a special task, we gladly assist you with our expert support and service.
